PJ-華盛頓1998年出生於美國肯塔基州路易斯維爾，2019年NBA選秀，華盛頓於首輪第12順位被夏洛特黃蜂隊選中，職業生涯先後效力於黃蜂、獨行俠，新秀賽季入選最佳新秀陣容二陣。

2024年2月9日，華盛頓被交易至達拉斯獨行俠隊。在他的幫助下，獨行俠從西部亂軍中突圍而出，可惜在總決賽不敵綠軍，無緣總冠軍。

上賽季，華盛頓代表獨行俠出戰29場比賽，場均32.2分鍾貢獻11.7分6.2籃板1.5助攻1.2搶斷0.9蓋帽，三項命中率為42.1/31.4/62.7%。
